Once ear wax, infections or other underlying medical concerns with your hearing loss have been ruled out by your GP or Audiologist, hearing aids are an option to consider. Hearing aids aim to fill in the gaps of your hearing loss rather than provide an overall amplification of sound. Using the results of hearing full hearing test, the audiologist will adjust the hearing aids to suit your specific hearing loss. We are at a time where we are spoiled for choice.
There are different Styles of hearing aids: Invisible-In-The-Canal (IIC), Completely-In-The-Cana (CIC), In-The-Canal (ITC), In-The-Ear (ITE), Open-Fit Behind-The-Ear (BTE), Standard Behind-The-Ear (BTE) and Super Power Behind-The-Ear (BTE). Not all hearing losses suit all hearing aids so although you may have a fair idea what you may like, it would be a good idea to consider the recommendations of your audiologist in terms of style
There are many hearing aid manufacturers to choose from. Quantum Hearing prescribes only original, quality and internationally renowned hearing aid manufacturers that have an excellent reputation in the industry. We take into account your hearing concerns and the goals you want to achieve, and budget and we will recommend accordingly.
